Generous Mulalley site staff clubbed together and raised £670 in order to donate gifts and toys to a local hospital children’s ward. The site team at Camden wanted to do something to ‘give back’ over Christmas and managed to raise enough money to buy an XBox One S with five games, four PS4 games (to go with Charles Holden’s donation of a PS4), a TV, and some Disney dolls for the Royal Free Hospital in Camden.
A spokesperson for the Royal Free Hospital Charity said: “The Royal Free Charity are very happy today to receive a very thoughtful donation from two fantastic construction companies who are currently working in Camden and like to support a local charity each year and this year we were lucky enough to be chosen.
Being in hospital can be unpleasant for anyone and children can find it especially difficult at Christmas so when James Coltman of Mulalley and Darren from Leading Edge delivered us a brand new Playstation 4 and an Xbox among other lovely gifts for the children’s ward we were overjoyed.
A lot of time and effort went into choosing items that will benefit the most amount of children in the hospital and James liaised closely with the charity and the ward to buy the most appropriate items needed for us, the toys will certainly put a smile on the faces of many Children facing a tough Christmas, thank you guys you’re the best!”
Mulalley Operations Director Bruce Benson said: “It was great to see the level of generosity our staff showed to this worthwhile charity. We hope the donation makes a big difference to those who really need it.”
